  • Device Data(which may include Sensitive Personal Information): Brainwave data and sleep-related data measured and uploaded by the myWaves device. This includes data obtained via Apple HealthKit or Google Health, as well as data directly collected through the Android application.
  • Statistical/Anonymized Data: Data processed so that individuals cannot be identified

4. Handling of Sensitive Personal Information

The brainwave data we collect as “Device Data” may contain information related to the health condition of users and may constitute sensitive personal information under Japanese law. By agreeing to this Privacy Policy, you consent to our collection of such data.

5. Methods of Collection

  • Direct input by users (account registration, form submission, etc.)
  • Automated collection via cookies, access logs, etc.
  • Data obtained from partner companies (e.g., payment processors, analytics providers)
  • Data uploaded from the myWaves device
  • Sleep data obtained via Apple HealthKit, Google Health, or directly through the Android application

6. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

We will not provide personal information to third parties without prior consent, except in the following cases:

  • When outsourcing to service providers (e.g., shipping companies, payment processors, hosting providers) to the extent necessary for business operations

Specifically, we use Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers in Japan and the U.S., with appropriate safeguards such as encryption and access controls. When handling personal information outside Japan (e.g., in the U.S.), we manage it in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan.

11. Requests for Disclosure, Correction, and Suspension of Use

Users may request the disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, or suspension of use of their personal information held by us. Requests should be submitted to the contact point below. In principle, no fees will be charged, but actual costs may be requested in accordance with laws and regulations.

12. Privacy of Minors

Our services are not intended for minors. Minors may only use the services with the consent of a parent or guardian. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a minor without such consent, we will promptly delete it.
